Event Date: Thursday, April 18, 2019 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm EDT
Event Type: Training/Technical Assistance Event, Webinar / Teleconference
Learn how two demonstration sites from the HRSA HAB Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS) encouraged HIV testing and linkage to care among Latinos of Mexican descent.
This webinar explores how to:
- Use a transnational research framework to design effective interventions for Mexicans and Mexican Americans
- Address specific barriers to care for clients of Mexican descent, such as limited access to culturally competent health care and social services
- Engage Mexican and Mexican American MSM
- Build evaluation measures at each stage of the intervention
Presenters will share their experiences, lessons learned, and provide practical knowledge on addressing the unique needs of this population. They will also provide intervention replication tips and participate in a Q&A session.
This webinar is brought to you by the SPNS Integrating HIV Innovative Practices (IHIP) project.
