CQII Learning Lab on Histograms

Event Date: Thursday, November 14, 2019 - 3:00pm to 4:30pm EST

Event Type: Webinar / Teleconference

Center for Quality Improvement and Innovation (CQII)

On November 14, 2019 at 3:00 pm (ET), CQII will offer the next in it’s Learning Labs series.  This interactive presentation will be on Histograms.  Histograms are a very useful tool to analyze large data sets and give you a deeper understanding of the story your data is telling you.  In this presentation you will learn:

  • What a histogram is and the elements that comprise it

  • The uses of the histogram

  • How to construct a histogram

To make this a true learning lab we request that you:

  • Have a data set available. You will be asked to follow along and enter your data into a Histogram template found on the ASQ website. Please download it by going to:  This webinar is meant to be an interactive learning experience so its important that you bring a data set that would lend itself to a histogram. It would be extremely helpful if you send your data set to [email protected] in advance of the webinar.

  • For this learning lab, we ask that you also have the consumers that are involved in your quality improvement efforts present OR any consumer that has voiced an interest in learning about QI tools. Over the past month, I have received multiple comments from consumers that they appreciate leaning about QI tools because it helps them gain a better understanding of the data they see and, for Part A Planning Council members, it helps them make better decisions on funding allocation guidance. This is a tremendous opportunity to have your consumers further engaged in your quality management program
