Webinar review of the roles and skills that community health workers (CHWs) need to be effective in their work. Role clarification is essential as CHWs are playing a greater role in health care setting, which has raised questions among staff about their roles and how they differ from others on HIV care teams.

Presenters from Boston University, the McGregor Clinic, an AIDS service organization in Fort Myers, FL, and CrescentCare, a dually funded HRSA Health Center in New Orleans, LA, discussed the role of a CHW on the HIV care team and share lessons learned from a recent three-year initiative.
