Tips and Resources for Enrollment Assisters to Help People Living with HIV Enroll in Health Coverage

In this webinar, enrollment assisters (including navigators, certified application counselors, agents and brokers) can learn about the unique health coverage needs of people living with HIV, and financial help available to eligible clients through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP), to help these clients enroll into Marketplace health coverage. Presenters from the ACE TA Center and our partner, Community Catalyst, will also share resources and new enrollment considerations for the upcoming Marketplace Open Enrollment Period.
This webinar is intended for assisters who are new to helping people living with HIV enroll into health coverage, as well as enrollment assisters who routinely support RWHAP clients.
The webinar will also cover:
- Practical strategies and tools to engage, enroll and retain people living with HIV in health coverage.
- How the RWHAP, including ADAP, can complement health coverage, through additional financial assistance for premium payments and out of pocket costs and/or access to HIV services and medications.
- The unique health coverage needs and concerns of people living with HIV, including considerations when helping them compare coverage options.
This training webinar is intended for navigators and enrollment assisters who are new to helping people living with HIV enroll into health coverage, as well as experienced enrollment assisters who may wish to learn about resources and new enrollment considerations for the 2019 Open Enrollment Period.
