How to Promote Your Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan and Communicate Progress to Stakeholders

While Integrated Plans include a great deal of information needed to guide jurisdictions' ongoing planning and implementation of Integrated Plan activities, they often contain too much information to present to stakeholders. Consider creating a succinct, visual summary of snap shot of your Integrated Plan activities to promote and communicate progress.

It is important to update and share your Integrated Plan implementation progress on a regular basis to your planning bodies and other stakeholders, such as other programs (e.g. HOPWA) or providers such as AIDS Service Organizations. Communication on plan progress includes highlighting successes, identifying challenges in implementation, and recommending modifications to plan activities.

Promising Practices and Tips

  • Create a progress report or activity dashboard that is updated and shared regularly according to an established schedule.
  • Distill the Integrated Plan and its activities into a succinct, visual or snap shot to promote or communicate progress.
