Virology FastTrack

The Virology FastTrack intervention is a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) that generates alerts in electronic medical records (EMR) to notify HIV outpatient providers of suboptimal follow-up, virologic failure, and laboratory toxicity.

Outcomes

  • There was a significant decrease in 6-month suboptimal follow-up in the intervention group than the comparison group.
  • Clients experienced an increase in CD4 count of 40%.
