ADAP formulary

The latest data on state-by-state coverage of medications for HIV, opportunistic infections, and select co-morbidities are summarized in the National AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Formulary Database. Calculations were prepared by NASTAD, which has compiled the ADAP Monitoring Project for several decades. (In 2019, HRSA's HIV/AIDS Bureau released the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Annual Client-Level Data Report, 2017, with client-level data on demographics and services used.)

The formulary database presents information on the following, with filter/search functionality:

  • General information (e.g., is the formulary open)
  • Antiretroviral medications
  • ARV generic equivalents
  • “A1” opportunistic infection medications (A1 OIs)
  • Hepatitis B treatment medications
  • Hepatitis C treatment medications
  • Substance use treatment medications
  • Mental health treatment medications
  • Other medication categories
  • Vaccines
  • Laboratory tests
  • Hepatitis C diagnostics
