AETC ShareSpot on Developing HIV/HCV Resources

Thursday, June 6, 2019

A collection of HRSA-funded clinician-focused resources on treating patients co-infected with HIV and Hepatitis C have been released over the past year. How did they come about? That story is summarized in a recent AETC ShareSpot blog, which explains the work of various AETCs, a SPNS project, and HRSA staff--and adaptation of local materials--in producing a set of resources to help improve care for the 25% of people living with HIV in the U.S. who are co-infected.

The blog, Curing Hepatitis C in People Living with HIV in the United States: A Federal, State and Local Collaboration, highlights the video below and these resources:

  • HIV/HCV Co-infection: An AETC National Curriculum

  • Hepatitis C Screening and Treatment in People Living with HIV (provider flyer)
  • Hep C Free (patient postcard available in English and Spanish)
