People in Oregon can get reminders to take their pills and show up for appointments via Oregon Reminders, a free service that sends alerts via email, text, or phone. The service is part of the state's End HIV Oregon strategy and is featured in Oregon Reminders: Technology to Engage Rural Oregon Communities in HIV Care, the February AETC ShareSpot. The system is reportedly of particular value to rural residents in overcoming some of the challenges of living in remote areas.

The ShareSpot describes how the system works, efficacy data, and other features, like the training that providers receive via the Oregon AETC, part of the Mountain West AETC, part of the national AETC HIV clinician training program funded under HRSA's Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.
