AETC ShareSpot: We Can’t Get to Zero if Science Isn’t the Hero

Wednesday, June 24, 2020

"If criminalization were the answer to preventing new HIV transmissions, southern states, which have the highest HIV transmission rates in the country, should theoretically be the states with the least amount of new transmissions."

That observation is from "We Can’t Get to Zero if Science Isn’t the Hero," a June 4, 2020 AETC NCRC's ShareSpot by Kamaria Laffrey, who writes about living with HIV, stigma, and the potential consequences of a topic seemingly rarely raised: HIV criminal statutes.
