Apply for Building Leaders of Color (BLOC) Training of Trainers
Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Part A & B recipients are invited to apply for the National Building Leaders of Color (BLOC) Training of Trainers (TOT) Training Institute, January 27- February 1, 2019 (training location TBD).
The TOT is part of BLOC, a HRSA-funded and NMAC managed project under the Minority AIDS Initiative that seeks to increase awareness and competency as well as fine-tune the leadership and professionalism of persons of color living with HIV (POCLWH) who are peers working in the field of HIV. The TOT seeks to build the capacity of participants related to planning, implementation, and evaluation of HIV-related services.
NMAC is seeking to recruit training teams made up of two participants from RWHAP recipient agencies to participate in the TOT. One team member must be a community representative who is a POCLWH. The second member of the team will be from a RWHAP recipient agency (recipient partner) representative. After completion of the training, these training teams will be asked to provide PLWH leadership training in their communities.
Applications due by December 10, 2018. Selected participants will be notified by December 18, 2018. Learn more about the BLOC TOT and apply. Please contact Marissa Miller for any questions on the application process.
