The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), the advisory body that makes recommendations on clinical preventive services and health promotion, is accepting applications for new members. Applications are due March 15. Candidates should have "expertise and national leadership in clinical preventive services, critical evaluation of research and implementation of evidence-based recommendations in clinical practice." Selected candidates would join the group January 2021.
USPSTF has recently issued recommendations dealing with HIV (PrEP, HIV screening)and has published over 100 recommendations on such topics as screening and counseling on conditions like Hepatitis C and cancer.
