ART Guidelines Updates on Hepatitis B

The latest update of federal guidelines on antiretroviral treatment for adults and adolescents addresses hepatitis B vaccination and treatment. 

The Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Opportunistic Infections in Adults and Adolescents with HIV have been tweaked multiple times in 2024 in response to new developments in HIV antiretroviral treatment. The Guidelines were first formulated in the mid 1990s in response to the introduction of of life-saving combination antiretroviral regimens.
