Registration is open for the CDC/HSA Advisory Committee on HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and STD Prevention and Treatment (CHAC) October meeting, to be held in virtual format and in-person at Rockville, Maryland on Tuesday, October 24 (9 AM – 4 PM) through Wednesday, October 25, 2023 (9 AM – 3 PM).
The agenda is still being finalized, but meeting topics will include reducing barriers and improving outcomes in HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) co-infection, payment models for addressing social determinants of health, incorporating stigma reduction in HIV care and treatment, and other special presentations. A final agenda will be posted at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
The CHAC advises the HHS Secretary and the heads of CDC and HRSA on objectives, strategies, policies, and priorities for HIV, viral hepatitis, and other STD prevention and treatment efforts.
