Customized STD Fact Sheets and SPACE Monkey
Health departments have a new set of templates they can use to create local fact sheets to convey the impact of budgetary changes in their sexually transmitted disease (STD) activities.
The Investing in STD Prevention: Making the Case for Your Jurisdiction templates, released this past November, draw upon data from a CDC tool that allows health departments to estimate the impact of changes in their budgets. It's called SPACE Monkey. (We aren't making this up.) That stands for STD Prevention Allocation Consequences Estimator. The customizable set of templates (there are four of them) draw upon SPACE Monkey information. Health departments can insert data and logos to then convey budgetary impacts or their local jurisdictions.
