Data-based Decision Making for Planning Bodies
Understanding and using data in planning body decision-making is the focus of Module 10: Data-based Decision Making, the latest module in the Training Guide: A Member's First Planning Cycle.
The module includes the following sections to help planning bodies use data in all aspects of their work, from assessment to priority setting:
- Understanding data types and sources
- Assessing data quality and usefulness
- Using data for decision making
Each of these sections includes mix-and-match sets of slides for trainers, activities that planning bodies can go through the test out the ideas, and handouts. For example, questions that group members can explore about surveys and studies are outlined in Activity 10.4: Quick Questions to Apply Knowledge—Assessing Data Quality.
