A significant proportion of people with HIV in the U.S. care getting their primary care from HRSA-funded Health Centers, according to the latest data report from HRSA's Bureau of Primary Health Care.
Characteristics of the types of HIV services provided by 1,400 HRSA-funded Health Centers are summarized in HIV.gov's HRSA Releases 2020 Data on HIV Prevention and Treatment in Health Centers. Among the highlights in the 9/1/21 blog, by BPHC Associate Administrator James Macrae, Health Centers:
- "Delivered primary care services to almost 190,000 patients living with HIV"
- "Ensured that 81% of newly diagnosed HIV positive patients aged 15-65 years old were linked to care within 30 days of diagnosis."
