Multiple HRSA-funded activities to support development of community health worker programs to support HIV care engagement are featured in People with HIV As Community Health Workers (CHWs) (September 2024).
The brief, by Georgetown University's O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, speaks to "the critical role that community health workers (CHWs) can play in bridging clinical care and addressing the social barriers to good care and a high quality of life." Featured HRSA resources include, for example, Using Community Health Workers to Improve Linkage and Retention in Care, developed under a SPNS initiative.
