HRSA Funding Opportunities: Improving Health Outcomes for People Aging with HIV

TargetHIV

From HRSA's HIV/AIDS Bureau

On October 26, 2021, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) released three notices of funding opportunities (NOFOs) related to HIV and aging.  Aging with HIV is an important matter within the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP).  Nearly half of people served by the RWHAP were 50 years and older in 2019.  The healthcare and psychosocial concerns change as people with HIV grow older and their healthcare and social services providers need to respond differently.

While utilizing HRSA HAB Special Projects of National Significance and implementation science frameworks, the funded organizations will identify, refine, evaluate, and disseminate emerging strategies to comprehensively screen and manage comorbidities, geriatric conditions, behavioral health, and psychosocial concerns of people 50 years and older with HIV within the context of the RWHAP.  All funded organizations will work collaboratively to achieve the purpose of the NOFOs.  Applications for the three NOFOs are due January 25, 2022.  You can find the links to the NOFOs below.  The NOFOs also include the dates, times, and links for the pre-applications webinars scheduled for November 2021 [also listed below].
