Impact of HIV Partner Notification Services
In 2016, there were 33,294 individuals who were named as partners by 49,266 persons who had tested HIV-positive. Of the 33,294, 5% (1,670) were newly identified as HIV-positive.
Those findings are reported in CDC's Partner Services Annual Report, 2016, covering data from all but two states in the U.S. The report provides details state data on testing, positivity rates, and linkages to medical care made as a result of partner notification.
