New Tools to Access Drug Patient Assistance and Cost Sharing Programs

TargetHIV

The form used to apply for pharmaceutical company cost support has been replaced by a series of three information sheets for use by consumers and providers in accessing payment help for (1) HIV prevention (PrEP and nPEP), (2) HIV treatment, and (3) hepatitis (A and B).

The Pharmaceutical Company Patient Assistance Programs and Cost-Sharing Assistance Programs tools were developed by NASTAD under a cooperative agreement with HRSA's HIV/AIDS Bureau. Each defines Patient Assistance Programs and Cost-Sharing Assistance Programs, followed by contact information for specific drugs in each of their respective areas.

These new resources replace the Common Patient Assistance Program Application or CPAPA, which is no longer being updated.
