Pediatric HIV Guidelines Updates

TargetHIV

Over the past four months, a dozen tweaks have been made to the HHS Guidelines for the Use of Antiretroviral Agents in Pediatric HIV Infection. Notable changes include recommendations for use of rapid ART with children (prescribe antiretrovirals (immediately or within days of an HIV diagnosis) and endorsement of telemedicine. A wide range of other changes deal with such topics as supporting adherence and managing medicine toxicity.
