As summer approaches, PC/PBs are reviewing data from multiple sources as they prepare for priority setting and resource allocation (PSRA). Based on the data, the PC/PB decides what services are most needed by people with HIV living in the EMA/TGA, and how much RWHAP Part A money should be used for each of these service categories. Use these Planning CHATT resources to support your PC/PB members and committees as they carry out these essential planning tasks.
Training Guide Module 10: Data-Based Decision Making. This module is designed to ensure that all PC/PB members are familiar with the many types of data they will use to decide how RWHAP Part A funds should be allocated and to improve the service system for people with HIV.
Training Guide Module 5: Priority Setting and Resource Allocation. This module helps prepare PC/PB members for active and informed participation in PSRA. It covers the purposes, importance, and components of PSRA, as well as different models for implementing it.
Quick Reference Handout 7.2: Assessment of the Administrative Mechanism. Your PC/PB may also be in the process of assessing the efficiency of the administrative mechanism (AAM). Check out this handy overview. AAM is a review by the PC/PB of how well the Part A recipient carries out the processes needed to contract with and pay providers for delivering HIV-related services, so that the needs of people with HIV throughout the Part A service area are met. This resource covers the basics.
