From the ACE TA Center - The open enrollment period for Affordable Care Act coverage is over. However, some people experience major life changes, like a move to another state or a new baby. These changes can trigger the need to secure/maintain new Affordable Care Act health insurance coverage. That's allowable under what is called a Special Enrollment Periods (SEP).

See this updated Special Enrollment Periods Consumer Fact Sheet, which provides clarification on the SEP, explains the qualifying life events and special circumstances that trigger a SEP, and what to do if clients think they are eligible.
