Telehealth Website for Patients and Providers

TargetHIV

Telehealth resources for both patients and providers have been compiled in a new federal website, Telehealth.hhs.gov, prepared by HRSA.

  • Patients can turn to information explaining what telehealth means, its use during the COVID-19 pandemic, and where to find telehealth services. Clients should start by contacting their doctor's office as many clinics, including those funded by HRSA's Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP), have readily adopted telehealth. Read about a few in COVID-19 Spurs Telehealth Uptake.
  • Provider resources include tips on setting up telehealth, considerations around privacy in alignment with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), reimbursement, and more. RWHAP agencies can also find insights about telehealth in the HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau's Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Frequently Asked Questions.
