Has anyone not been in a battling babble of a meeting? Ideas for how to avoid similar sessions are outlined in a new training module, Working Together: Effective Committee and Planning Council/Planning Body (PC/PC) Meetings, released October 3 by the HRSA-funded Planning CHATT TA project.

The module is the latest addition to Training Guide for RWHAP Part A Planning Councils/Planning Bodies: A Member’s First Planning Cycle. Module 9 in the series, topics cover:

  • PC/PB operations (e.g., a sample meeting template)
  • Group process tools (think Robert’s Rules of Order or alternatives)
  • Preparing and supporting PC/PB officers (includes ideas for a training plan)
  • Inclusive planning

As with the other modules, trainer notes, editable presentation slides and other training tools are provided, ready for customization.
