Webinar on Trauma-Informed Approaches in Integrated Settings
Trauma can cause lifelong health consequences, according to the CDC and Kaiser Permanente Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study and may also have a negative impact on HIV outcomes, according to insights shared at a 2015 HRSA consultation meeting on Trauma and HIV.
The April 18 webinar, Impact of ACEs and Adoption of Trauma-Informed Approaches in Integrated Settings, will review a methodology for implementing trauma-informed care. The webinar is being hosted by the SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions (CIHS), which promotes the development of integrated primary and behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and substance use conditions.
