In February 2020, HHS awarded $117 Million to End the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. Approximately $63 million was awarded to Health Resources and Services (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) to 60 Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program recipients to link people with HIV who are either newly diagnosed, or are diagnosed but currently not in care, to essential HIV care and treatment and support services, as well as to provide workforce training and technical assistance.
The following quarterly EHE recipient webinars provide HRSA-HAB funded EHE recipients the opportunity to learn about updates with the initiative, review data trends, and a means to share their EHE activities with their counterparts.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. (EHE) initiative aims to reduce the number of new HIV infections in the United States by at least 90 percent by 2030 with the goal of decreasing the number of new HIV infections to fewer than 3,000 per year. Reducing new infections to this level would essentially mean that HIV transmissions would be rare and meet the definition of ending the epidemic.

The TAP-in: Technical Assistance Provider-innovation network provides technical support for the 47 Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) jurisdictions funded by HRSA. TAP-in helps to strengthen their EHE work plans, promote cross-jurisdictional learning, and ensure jurisdictions have access to the resources they need.
