This 101 institute session discusses the Implementation Science framework used in the RWHAP SPNS Initiative: Improving Care and Treatment Coordination for Black Women with HIV. The Black Women First (BWF) initiative bundled two or more evidence-informed interventions supports engaging and empowering Black cisgender and transgender women in addressing HIV care.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the Implementation Science framework used and outcomes obtained from the RWHAP SPNS BWF initiative.
  • Discuss the overlapping issues that impede Black women’s care and the positive impact of bundled interventions on Black women’s HIV health outcomes.
  • Gain insight on initiative goals, lessons learned, and policy implications for future programming for Black women with HIV.
