Description

Educating all people with HIV about the availability of long-acting injectable (LAI) antiretroviral therapies (ART), regardless of eligibility, is a precursor to equitable delivery of LAI ART. Hear from demonstration sites participating in ALAI UP about strategies they are using to educate and screen patients for LAI ART.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the benefits of educating all people with HIV about LAI ARTs and weigh the pros and cons of different education and screening approaches on equity.
  • Identify potential challenges to implementing universal education for LAI ART, in general and at the attendee’s own agency.
  • Describe strategies for overcoming challenges to implementing universal education for LAI ARTs.
