Description

Improving Hepatitis C surveillance can help RWHAP jurisdictions identify, monitor, and connect coinfected people with HIV to Hepatitis C (HCV) care and treatment. This panel will provide an opportunity to hear federal updates on Hepatitis C surveillance and learn about a data-to-care approach and overcoming surveillance data gaps.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the importance of HCV surveillance data for building an HCV cascade of care.
  2. Describe how collaboration between Hepatitis C and HIV surveillance systems can facilitate people with HIV and HCV and in need of HCV treatment to be identified, linked, and retained in care.
  3. Understand where to locate additional resources related to Hepatitis C surveillance data improvements.
