This workshop describes specific barriers to care and treatment, as well as unmet medical and psychosocial needs faced by clients. Presenters shared strategies such as developing staff and stakeholder skills to address the needs of people with HIV who experience homelessness, unstable housing, unemployment, or underemployment.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the complex needs of people with HIV who experience homelessness, housing instability, unemployment, and underemployment.
  2. Develop strategies to build staff skills and create external partnerships to facilitate care and services.
  3. Share strategies, resources, and tools to provide integrated care to people with HIV who are out of care, homeless or unstably housed, and unemployed or underemployed.
