Description
This session will focus on the importance of organizational readiness and cultural competency to address intimate partner violence (IPV) as part of a trauma-informed approach to HIV care. Recipients will receive training on how to strengthen organizational readiness and cultural competency to meet the needs of diverse HIV patient populations.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the important roles of cultural competency and organizational readiness in the provision of HIV care and treatment for those who have a history of and/or current experience with intimate partner violence.
- Recognize key components of culturally competent and organizationally ready organizations.
- Learn about best practices from RWHAP recipients who have undergone organizational readiness and cultural competency activities in support of IPV-related training and technical assistance.
