Mpox Vaccination Among California’s Medication Assistance Clients: Uptake, Motivation, and Risk Perception

In January 2023 an anonymous online survey was distributed via mailer to California ADAP and PrEP-AP clients to assess mpox vaccine uptake, risk perception and motivation for vaccination. Of the approximately five percent who responded, most were fully vaccinated with racial differences evident in reasons for vaccination.
