Presenter(s)

Description

The White House prioritizes addressing social determinants of health (SDOH) in the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. Presenters share key Medical Monitoring Project (MMP) data on SDOH and describe how MMP data have been used to inform resource allocation to address SDOH. Partners will discuss how to maximize use of MMP’s SDOH data.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand how data from the CDC's MMP can be used to monitor SDOH and HIV ancillary services that address SDOH associated with adverse outcomes and inform national and local funding to improve.
  • Discuss with partners how to collectively maximize MMP’s SDOH data in efforts to end the HIV epidemic and improve the lives of
    people with HIV.
  • For health departments that do not report MMP data, recognize ways to collect local data similar to information collected through MMP to report on the White House's SDOH-related indicators of progress for meeting national HIV prevention and treatment goal.
