Description

Through critical thinking, case studies and review of training materials, attendees will be able to understand the impact of stigma, health disparities, and social determinants of health experiences by RWHAP priority subpopulations while assessing ways to respond to communities, empower the workforce, and implement status neutral intervention and population-based approaches.

Learning Objectives

  • Analyze and translate the impact of stigma, health disparities, and social determinants within service delivery for RWHAP priority subpopulations.
  • Assess and illustrate evidence-based training, curriculum, and capacity building needed to enhance workforce development with a particular focus on young adult workers and new employees to reach marginalized communities through public health intervention.
  • Appraisal of approaches used within our training program to empower young adults to implement status neutral interventions, decrease health disparities, and improve health outcomes for people with HIV and at-risk of infection.
