Description

This workshop will review research findings related to the vocational needs of people with HIV. Results from recent quantitative and qualitative research studies reporting the career development needs of people with HIV will be discussed. A client-focused Considering Work model and the Common Threads intervention will be presented.

Learning Objectives

  1. Recognize the vocational development and employment needs of people with HIV.
  2. Identify the impact of employment on health and prevention outcomes among people with HIV.
  3. Describe the Considering Work Model and its application to the Common Threads intervention.
