Building Capacity to Improve Collecting and Reporting Viral Suppression Data to the Medicaid Adult Core Set

This SPNS initiative seeks to improve state capacity to collect and report HIV viral suppression data in the annual state Medicaid Adult Core Set reporting.

NASTAD will work in partnership with AcademyHealth and the University of California, San Francisco. Participating states are: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, District of Columbia, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington. 

The team will utilize the Institute of Healthcare Improvement Breakthrough Series learning collaborative model and its continuous quality improvement approach through Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycles.
