Profile: Deborah Wade
I was the Executive Director of a Ryan White outpatient medical clinic in Anniston, Alabama that received RW funding during the first round of funding after the CARE Act was enacted in 1990. I stayed there for 6 years and then moved to Louisville, Ky. where, along with an Infectious Diseases Physician, Dr. Anna K. Huang, I wrote a competitive RW grant application and received funding to start a RW outpatient medical clinic at the University of Louisville. I was the Program Director of this clinic until 2011 when I resigned to come to work at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where I current serve as the RW Program Director for the CBDPP and the RW Part B Oral Health contract we receive from the State RW Part B program.
The contracted funds from the state of KY allows us to provide oral health care to all persons living with HIV disease in the state who are enrolled in the RW Part B Care Coordinator Program.
