This CQII Training-of-Trainers (TOT) session will be held in Dallas, TX. The TOT is an advanced training program for individuals with experience in clinical quality management who wish to refine their skills in training others on quality improvement principles and practice. Applicants are expected to have some experience in facilitation as well as a basic understanding of quality improvement.
The overarching goals of the TOT Program include:
- Enlarge the pool of qualified trainers on quality improvement in HIV care across the country
- Further spread clinical quality management concepts by increasing the number of training opportunities for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program grant recipients
- Increase the ability to refer requests for quality improvement training to regional TOT graduates
Since the purpose of the TOT Program is capacity building, participants are asked to lead at least three quality improvement trainings within 120 days of successfully completing the session. This helps participants reinforce the knowledge they gained at the TOT session as well as expand the opportunities for providers of clinical and non-clinical services to gain clinical quality management knowledge and expertise.
