
Approximately one month after the September 2023 approval and recommendation for most individuals to get the latest COVID-19 vaccine, uptake among Americans has been underwhelming. According to an October 2023 survey, only 7.1 percent of the overall population has been vaccinated. Vaccination rates are also meager among those most at risk: older individuals.
