HIVInfo and ClinicalInfo: The Distinctions

TargetHIV

AIDSInfo is no more. The former home for federal HIV guidelines and other HIV information for clinicians and consumers, transitioned its content to other federal websites. Here's a quick recap of what's where:

  • ClinicalInfo.HIV.gov houses HIV clinical guidelines, the drug database (FDA-approved HIV and opportunistic infection drugs and investigational HIV drugs), and the medical glossary of HIV-related terms. (We recently wrote about this transition.)
  • HIVInfo.NIH.gov is where you will find fact sheets and infographics (in Understanding HIV). Eventually, this site will host research information from NIH’s Office of AIDS Research (OAR), the National Institute Of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), and the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM)
