Journal Article Outlines EHE Interventions

TargetHIV

A November 2021 supplemental issue of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine presents 17 articles highlighting interventions that align with the four pillars of the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative.

Articles in the CDC-funded supplement, The Evidence Base for Initial Intervention Strategies for Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S., are organized under Diagnose, Treat, Prevent, Respond and are described as "state of the science articles and best practice articles describing the intervention strategies conducted by LHDs before the EHE initiative began...." (The Evidence Base for Initial Intervention Strategies for Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S.)

Readers will recognize many interventions. As described in one of the "Treat" articles, "Many of the interventions described here were carried out in RWHAP clinics, were funded at least in part through RWHAP-funds, and have manuals to guide implementation in HIV clinics and other settings." (The HIV Treat Pillar: An Update and Summary of Promising Approaches)
