Regional AETCs are always, and I mean always, developing new HIV clinical training tools. Below is a select list of recent products, pulled from the July Monthly Update of the AETC NCRC.
- HIV Prevention and Treatment Challenges in Rural America - webinar summarizing HIV in rural areas with highlights on current HIV treatment regimens, HIV and Hepatitis C testing/screening, and PrEP guidelines. (Midwest AETC)
- Surging Syphilis: What the Michigan Clinical Workforce Needs to Know to Identify, Diagnose, and Treat in 2022 - training slides on syphilis in Michigan (which provide a nice template for other states), including a review of the data (e.g., people with HIV and at least one ATI have lower viral load suppression); variations in where people in different demographics are getting diagnosed (e.g., women and gay/bisexual men are most likely to be diagnosed by a private provider whereas heterosexual men are most likely to get diagnosed in urgent care or the ER); and resources for providers. (Midwest AETC)
- Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT) Fact Sheet for Providers - a one page fact sheet on what EPT is and what providers can do in treating partners. (Mountain West AETC and Utah AETC)
- Mental Health and HIV Webinar Series - a four-part series with possible CEs, covering: Addressing Depression in People with HIV; Pharmacotherapy for Depression; Anxiety Disorders; Trauma and Stressor-Related Disorders. (New England AETC)
