Technical assistance and training on addressing opioid use disorders is available from the Opioid Response Network (ORN), a federally-funded project that provides assistance to Opioid State Targeted Response (STR) as well as other grantees, individuals, and organizations. ORN assistance identifies local experts who then are assigned to help communities address locally identified needs through "evidence-based practices in the prevention, treatment and recovery of opioid use disorders."
ORN is funded by HHS's Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). It includes a broad network of dozens of national associations. They include the National Alliance for HIV Education, and Workforce Development (NAHEWD). The NAHEWD represents a number of AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC), the clinical training arm of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.
