TBT: Planning and a Retirement

TargetHIV

On this very occasional TargetHIV Throw Back Thursday, we highlight Ryan White planning.

Rarer yet, we send out an acknowledgement on the retirement of Steven Young, Director of the HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau's Division of Metropolitan HIV/AIDS Programs which oversees Part A of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP).

Young is one of the first hires for the Ryan White CARE Act. This was enacted in 1990 and began operations at HRSA in 1991 through a process of reorganization and recruiting seasoned professionals from across the agency and from the community. Nearly three decades later, the collective work of countless people like Steven has created the remarkable infrastructure and success of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.

With that, watch a (much) younger Steven in the below Planning Council training video and take a look at current planning-related technical assistance and training from HRSA-funded Planning CHATT and Integrated HIV/AIDS Planning Technical Assistance Center

Video orientation to Ryan White Planning Councils for prospective new members.
