Search Tips

Online search engines are improving all the time, including the TargetHIV internal search engine. Below are tips to help you narrow your searches.

  • You can use Google or Bing to search the TargetHIV website by including "targethiv" in your search query on those sites, for example "targethiv RSR deadline" Your results should be mostly from the TargetHIV.org website.
  • Click on the magnifying glass icon 🔍 on any page to expose the sitewide search
  • The Resources search has additional filters and display options. You can filter by date, topic, or organization and display titles, cards, or full descriptions.
  • In Find Ryan White Services, you can search and filter, view results on a map, and download results in a spreadsheet
  • Use quotes for specific phrases, for example "RSR Manual" (4 matches) vs. RSR Manual (322 matches)
  • Use unique words when you can, for example Aging (154 matches) vs. Aging and HIV (1555 matches)
  • Search is not case sensitive (hiv and HIV are the same)
  • Use filters to narrow your results
