Two new publications to support consumer involvement in quality improvement in HIV care agencies have been developed by CQII, the technical assistance provider for HRSA's Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. The guides include:
- PROMS & PREMS (Patient Reported Outcomes Measures [PROMS] and Patient Reported Experience Measures [PREMS]) Guide. The guide outlines ways to elevate patient voices and use and interpret indicators (developed by CQII and pilot sites) that assess the quality of healthcare, including HIV treatment, and the health care experience based on individual feedback from patients.
- A Guide to Patient Involvement in Quality Improvement Building Meaningful Partnerships to Improve HIV Care. This document presents best practices, necessary skills and strategies for initiating and sustaining patient involvement in QI across a spectrum of engagement activities.
Additional consumer-focused tools on quality improvement are available in CQII Publications.
