Training a National HIV Workforce: Outcomes from the National AIDS Education Training Centers Evaluation

This workshop will highlight the AIDS Education Training Centers' (AETC) Core Training activities from 2016 through 2019, focusing on types of providers reached, priority training topics, and training modalities. Two AETCs will share experiences engaging rural jurisdictions with low-volume HIV providers and approaches for reaching providers in the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative jurisdictions.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe national HIV workforce training opportunities through the Regional AETC Program, specifically Core Training activities.
  2. Describe evaluation findings on Core Training reach and outcomes.
  3. Discuss regional AETC strategies for engaging training participants and opportunities for expanding reach of national HIV workforce training activities.
