The Addressing STIs: Ask, Test, Treat, Repeat. intervention seeks to address the rising rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the United States over the past several years, particularly bacterial STIs, such as syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. The intervention is comprised of four intervention components: audio computer-assisted self-interview sexual history taking, patient self-collection of urogenital and extragenital site chlamydia/gonorrhea nucleic acid amplification test specimens, sexual and gender minority welcoming indicators, and provider training.
